Calling All Volunteers

Looking to make a even more positive impact in your child's education? Want to help in your community? Come on in, we would love your help in room B112! We need parent or family volunteers to help out in the following areas...

• Working with individual students with handwriting practice

• Working with individual students with typing and/or computer skills 

We are looking for parents to commit to come in on a weekly or biweekly basis during our enrichment/intervention times from 8:45-9:15 and 11:34-12:05.   Please contact me if you are interested.  Thanks in advance for all your help!

 Mystery Readers

Do you want to volunteer in your child's classroom but are unable to say yes to a weekly commitment? Do you love reading and want to share that joy with our second graders? Come and be a mystery reader! Mystery readers could be parents, grandparents or older siblings of our classmates. Every day leading up to the mystery reader I will reveal clues about our reader and students will guess who is coming in to read to us.  This gets our kids excited about reading and builds relationships between students and their families.  It also helps to bridge the gap between school and home.  Please contact me if you would like to participate in this wonderful opportunity! We will work together to find a date a time that works best for everyone.
